In a shocking incident, a six-year-old girl was killed and her body was found stuffed inside a cooking vessel in Salem district of Tamil Nadu on Sunday, reports NDTV.
The accused, a 17-year-old boy belonging to the same neighbourhood enticed her with sweets, allegedly kidnapped her and sexually assaulted her in his house.
The boy, a school dropout, apparently panicked afterwards and strangulated her. Thereafter, he stuffed her dead boy inside a big aluminum vessel and covered it with a lid.
The victim’s father who had been searching for her since Saturday evening filed a missing report with the police and reportedly complained that she had been spotted by people, walking with the teenager.
When the police knocked on the doors of the teenager, he tried to run away but was later apprehended. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime.
The NDTV report however says the the police have not confirmed rape.
