Even as questions are being raised over the arrest of JNU students’ union president Kanhaiya Kumar, a news channel aired a clip of him allegedly shouting “leke rahenge azaadi”.
The clip was said to be an endorsement for Kashmir’s freedom demanded in the Afzal Guru event, and it was shared widely on the social media.

But now other sources have come out with a longer version of the video from which the clip seems to be taken, and it shows Kumar calling for freedom from hunger and poverty shouting slogans like, “bhukhmari se aazadi”, “sanghwad se aazadi” and “punjivad se azaadi.”
