India recently joined the elite club of countries with the launch of navigation satellite IRNSS-1G. On the launch, Prime Minister Modi christened the navigation system ‘NAVIC’, which in Hindi means ‘sailor’ or ‘navigator’.

This 90-second video captures the nomenclature of the NAVIC system, the timeline of all seven satellites involved in enabling NAVIC and how the system is going to enhance both civilian and military navigation capabilities.
