Goswami will however, stay in the current position till the second half of November, and will also continue to host Newshour till that time, Economics Times reported.

An official statement was issued by Times Network MD MK Anand which said, “Times Network cherishes the decade-long association it had with Arnab. We are sure he will do well in his next endeavour and our good wishes are with him.”

Arnab, who has been in his position with the Times Network ever since its inception in 2006, resigned from the channel on November 2.

While several theories abound as to the former chief’s departure, a possible solo venture or a joint venture  with an international news organisation are being spoken of.
