The #TrashTag Challenge Is Getting People To Clean Up The Trash Around Them & We’re Here For It

Ira Shukla

‘Challenges’ are the latest obsession of netizens and they usually function in a very similar way. There is one activity, one hashtag and bam – millions of videos on social media.

Now, safe to say most of them don’t make much sense and some are even dangerous. So #TrashTag comes as a pleasant change

It requires people to click before and after pictures of places once they are done with cleaning them up. Yes, the challenge is actually about cleaning places.

And people are actively participating, which can only be a good sign.

The challenge started after an outdoor lighting company ‘UCO’ launched the hashtag, prompting people to clean up places when they return from wilderness.

Finally a challenge that tackles an actual challenge.
