While playing for the ongoing Istanbul Cup in Turkey, a Turkish tennis player forgot to notice that she had won her match.
Players Tsvetana Pironkova of Bulgaria and Basak Eraydin of Turkey had been playing Round 1 of the Women s’ Singles on Day 2 of the Istanbul Cup and the latter scored the winner and headed back to get a ball to serve again – only to realise she had won!

Eraydin, who beat Pironkova 6-2 6-4, was already at match point but did not realize that she had won until turning back to serve and seeing her opponent walk up towards her – and the crowd cheering her on.
