Wildlife conservationist extraordinaire Steve Irvin died on this day 13 years ago. He may have been gone for a while but his legacy of preserving our ecosystem lives on.

In today’s world, while we face a wildlife emergency, we need him now more than ever. Our planet could’ve done with more of Irwin. 

While we can only try to feel as passionately about animals as he did, he truly has left an impact on the world. These twitter tributes 13 years after his passing prove how much of great influence he was on us all.

A true legend who we needed now more than ever.
