In a recent example of this, IAF Flight Lieutenant Karan Deshmukh descended into a flood-hit area to save an elderly woman’s life.

In a video shared by the India Air Force, he can be seen trying to comfort the woman as he enters into neck-deep water.

The Air Force was trying to get the woman on a winch cradle and get her to safety. However, she was too scared to do that. This is when Karan stepped up and decided to take her through the process.

Twitter couldn’t help but appreciate the Flight Lieutenant’s brave efforts after seeing the video.

Not all heroes wear capes.
