Railways Introduce Surge Pricing & Twitterati Are Divided Over It

In order to earn an additional Rs 500 crore in revenue as well as to try keep touts out, Indian Railways has announced surge pricing for the country’s premium Rajdhani, Duronto and Shatabdi trains. Starting from September 9, ticket fares could be up by upto 50 percent.
