Unarmed BSF Jawan Who Was On Vacation Shot Dead At Home By Terrorists In J&K’s Bandipora

An off-duty BSF jawan was killed and some of his family members were injured in a terror attack in north Kashmir’s Bandipora. The incident happened on Wednesday night when suspected terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba entered the house of Parra and opened fire, reports India Today.

Constable Md Ramzan Parrey who was in his early thirties belonged to the 73rd battalion of the BSF. He was reportedly unarmed when he was attacked, leading to his death on the spot.

 According to a report by PTI, four of his family members including his father, two brothers and an aunt suffered gunshots. While the condition of his aunt is critical, other three are said to stable.

The BSF constable had come home on a vacation a few days earlier. He was primarily deployed along India’s border with Pakistan and Bangladesh, six years ago, reports NDTV.

Jammu and Kashmir police chief SP Vaid has called the killing “barbaric and inhuman” and vowed to punish the guilty.
