A man in UP put his wife at stake after he ran out of money while gambling and allegedly allowed a friend and relative to gangrape her, after losing the bet.
According to a report by NDTV, the incident occurred in the Jaunpur district of UP and apparently the police initially refused to file a case based on the woman’s complaint.
They registered an FIR only after she approached the court.
According to the woman, her husband was an alcoholic, and his friend Arun and a relative Anil often used to visit their house for drinking and gambling.
While the date of the incident is unknown, she claimed that one day her husband put her at stake while gambling with Anil and Arun and let them rape her on losing.
As per reports, she went to her maternal uncle’s house after the incident. Her husband followed her there and after he apologised, she went back with him in his car. On their way back, he stopped the car and allowed his friends to gangrape her once again.
