Venice Council Rejects Climate Crisis Plan. Moments Later, It Gets Flooded. Karma Or Reality?

Srishti Magan

Climate change and its far-reaching effects are a very real and frightening reality. And yet, many world leaders are still not willing to take appropriate measures to combat climate change.

Just like the regional council of Venice, who reportedly rejected a plan on combating climate change. But, in a surprising turn of events, minutes later the council office got flooded.

Since Tuesday, Venice has been hit by recurrent flooding. And apparently, on Tuesday evening, Veneto councillors had a meeting at the Ferro Fini Palace. Only the regional council members rejected the proposed amendments (by the Democratic party) to fight the climate crisis. Minutes later, the room was flooded.

It is high time that world leaders actually plan and take action to save the environment because the climate crisis is not something to put on hold.
