Veteran theatre and movie actor Viju Khote passed away today at the age of 77.
According to India Today, he suffered from multiple organ failure.
The actor is best known for his iconic role of Kalia in one of Bollywood’s most famous movies, Sholay, and Robert in comedy-film Andaz Apna Apna.
His famous dialogue “Sardar, maine aapka namak khaya hai” made him a household name in the industry. His comic timing in Andaz Apna Apna further made him one of the most recognizable faces during the 70s.
Khote appeared in over 300 Hindi and Marathi movies. He was last seen in the 2018 flick Jaane Kyun De Yaaron.
