Watch: Congress Workers Suffer Burn Injuries While Setting Modi Effigy On Fire

As the Congress party leadership is playing with fire in the Parliament by stalling proceedings over the National Herald case, its party workers found out just how dangerous things can get if the proper precautions are not taken.

The incident took place in Shimla, when angry Congress workers protesting against NDA’s alleged vendetta politics tried to set fire to an effigy of PM Modi.

The effigy exploded in the process, leaving few workers and police personnel with minor burn injuries. Incredibly, the protest resumed after a brief interval.

The protests were led by PCC president Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, who himself had a narrow escape as the effigy went up in flames, reports The Indian Express . Similar protests, without any such unfortunate incidents, were held across Himachal Pradesh.
