Watch: How A Dramatic Sunday Unfolded On JNU Campus As Absconding Students Return

The protests at JNU had been on for over a week. Every day a talk was being held in the campus on various topics ranging from nationalism to various issues linked to it. On Sunday there was a similar sequence of events. 

First there was a talk, then a student read out the resignation letter from a Zee producer who had quit his job over doctored videos. 

But then there was a burst of excitement around 10 pm. The absconding students, who had been charged with sedition, had returned to the campus. 

Then came the speeches by Umar Khalid, and another student who had gone missing. By then the media had arrived in strength and Khalid gave another speech.
