While several people die in accidents on railway tracks in India everyday, there are the few cases of narrow escapes. The case of a 45-year-old woman from Purulia in West Bengal is nothing short of a miracle.
As Himani Manjhi was walking to Purulia railway station, she tripped and fell on the tracks just as a goods train was approaching.
But some quick thinking by some railway staff led to a miraculous escape that was also caught on camera, NDTV reports.
The staff asked her to stay still while the 56-wagon train passed over her, and was later taken to the station, where she was treated for minor injuries.
