We Might Have Seen The Best Tennis Of Our Lives. Take A Bow Federer & Djokovic, We’re Not Worthy

Ira Shukla

To give you perspective, THIS is what the scores looked like during the final stages of the Wimbledon final between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.

And this is how it ended.

Refusing to give up, these two just kept going at it, tossing our tiny and fragile hearts into the air with every serve.

The match had to have a winner and it was Novak Djokovic.

But this game strongly reminded me of Federer’s Australian Open 2017 victory, after which he graciously said ‘Tennis is a tough sport, there’s no draws but if there was I’d be happy to share it with Rafa tonight.’.

It’s true for this match as well. Growing up listening about the great Wimbledon final of 2008, the ‘greatest tennis match ever played’, I used to wonder how it would be like to watch that match live. Well, my wishes were granted. I now know how it feels like to watch a match of this nature.

I am freaking out, you are freaking out, the entire world is freaking out. Here’s proof.

Goodbye, nails. You were a great gift from God, please grow back soon.
