What Made Nargis Fakhri Take An Impromptu Sabbatical From Bollywood?

Nargis Fakhri’s Instagram account has been flooded with a lot of word porn as called in the social media lexicon. She sporadically posts quotes and words of wisdom that talk about love, life and the works. Sample this:

These are just two of the many quotes that the actress endorses. Looking at her Instagram timeline one thing is for sure, Nargis is going through a lot of introspection. She perhaps maybe experiencing some turbulent times in her personal life. Because professionally she just had one recent release with Azhar and Housefull 3 is all set to release soon. She has almost finished shooting for her upcoming film, Banjo with Riteish Deshmukh.

Personally however there is speculation that all may not be well. When news of Nargis packing her bags and leaving for New York broke, it left many wondering. Why would the actress leave the last leg of promotions for her film, Azhar? Not just that, the promotional calendar of her next release, Housefull 3 has also been finalized. The shooting of her Riteish Deshmukh starrer, Banjo is 97% complete but the film has not wrapped up yet. Nargis’ impromptu travel has left many fuming.

And hence the speculations were in place to fill the void of her absence. Some say, she is suffering from a nervous breakdown after her rumoured beau, Uday Chopra refused to marry her. While some said that she was contemplating to say goodbye to Bollywood

Her publicist put all rumours to rest by confirming to Pinkvilla that “Nargis has been unwell, right through the Azhar promotions with multiple injuries – torn hamstring, anterior knee ligament thinning and mild socket dislocation along with burning of the stomach lining due to lead and arsenic poisoning. However, due to her deteriorating condition, she had to bow out of Housefull 3 promotions to go back home to New York for a month to address all her medical issues and recuperate. She has no plans to leave B-Town.”

Well, everybody has the right to take it easy, take a break and introspect their life. There is nothing blasphemous about going through a nervous breakdown. As long as the one suffering picks up the pieces from their life and starts afresh with renewed zest

Here’s hoping that Nargis feels better soon!
