With the presence of Army personnel in several part of West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee decided to lock herself in the secretariat office protesting against their presence and refused to come out until they are return to their barracks. Questioning the move, she asked the Centre whether it was an “army coup” and claims that the army has been deployed in the state without informing the state government.

While a defence spokesperson says that the deployment of Army is a bi-annual exercise which it conducts across the country to get statistical data about load carriers that could be made available in case of contingency, Twitterati is trolling the West Bengal Chief Minister over her latest allegations.
