Having given his all to cricket, MS Dhoni is now serving the country by joining the Indian Army, and it’s a decision that is being applauded by his peers from other nations as well.

West Indies fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell, for instance, shared a video of Dhoni being conferred with the Padma Bhushan last year and saluted his spirit of working for his countrymen.

This gesture by Cottrell earned him fans in India, who appreciate him for saying kind words for their favourite cricketer.

Hailing from Jamaica, Cottrell also serves the army of his country. And the pride associated with that could be seen every time he celebrated a wicket with a military-style salute to the pavillion.

Speaking to BBC earlier, Cottrell had noted that he had ‘practised it for six months’ when he was training in the army.
