Woman Burnt Alive By Jilted Lover Who Had Been Stalking Her For Over A Month In Chennai

In a gruesome incident, a 22-year-old woman was allegedly set on fire by her stalker after she refused to speak to him. 

The incident happened on Monday night when the victim S Indhuja was attacked by the accused outside her home in Adambakkam area. The victim was declared ‘brought dead’ when she was taken to the hospital. Her mother and her sister who came to her rescue also sustained injuries.

According to a report by The Hindu, the accused had been stalking Indhuja for over a month. He claimed that he was in love with her and wanted to talk to her. When she refused, he went to her house so that he could talk to her for a few minutes. He later reportedly poured petrol and set her on fire.  Indhuja’s mother Renuka (44) and Nivedha (20) also suffered injuries.

When the neighbours heard the cries, they rushed to help the family. All the three victims were then taken to the hospital.

Indhuja succumbed to her injuries on Monday night and her body was shifted to the Kilpauk Medical College (KMC) hospital. Her mother Renuka has 49% burns while sister Nivedha has 23% burns. 

The condition of both of them is critical, reports The News Minute.
