Woman Journalist In Critical Condition After Being Brutally Attacked In Delhi Park

In a shocking incident, a freelance journalist was brutally attacked by unidentified persons in a public park in north west Delhi’s Ashok Vihar. 

On Wednesday night, 45-year-old Aparna Kalra was assaulted in a public park where she had gone for a walk after which she had to be admitted to Fortis Hospital.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, Kalra was found lying unconscious by people. Her condition is critical as she has suffered multiple injuries to her head. 

The possibility of robbery has been ruled out since she was not carrying her phone or any valuables at the time. 

A case of attempt to murder has been registered. 

A Delhi School of Economics alumunus, Aparna Kalra is a freelance journalist who has earlier worked with major media organisations like Reuters, Mint and Business Standard. She also writes for online publications like Scroll.in, Daily O, IndiaSpend  and Factordaily
