A woman has been allegedly raped in Bahadurgarh of Haryana, after she was admitted to the ICU of a private hospital following a delivery. The accused is seen in a CCTV footage, casually walking into the ICU and checking patients.
In The CCTV footage the man is seen talking on the phone as he lifts sheets to check patients. He made a similar attempt on another woman in a hospital in the same locality, but fled when the woman woke up and raised an alarm.
The SHO of Bahadurgarh city police station told The Indian Express that, “the accused’s face is clearly visible in the CCTV footage. We are getting the footage from other places in Bahadurgarh as well to trace his movement. His pictures will be circulated.”
A relative of the victim told NDTV, “she is my nephew’s wife and she gave birth to a girl yesterday and was admitted to the hospital. I was with her till late 9:45 pm and then left because the hospital staff said no one was allowed to stay the night in the ICU. There was nobody in the ICU when the man entered.”
The relative said that while all patients were asleep, no one from the staff responded when the woman was screaming for help.
