In a shocking incident, a woman warden at a residential school in Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh allegedly forced 70 girls to strip naked to check if any of them were menstruating.
According to News 18, the warden asked the girls at Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential School to strip. She also threatened that she would beat them if they didn’t obey her.
One of the students said that the students were asked to strip when the warden found blood on the bathroom floor. She added that all of them felt humiliated and have filed for an action against her.
However, the warden who has been suspended she only wanted to check if everything was fine with the girls. She alleged that that she is being dragged into a controversy by students and other staff members because she is very strict regarding studies.
A local education department has ordered an inquiry into the case.
