Woman’s Live-In Partner Accused Of Raping 10-Year-Old Daughter In Mumbai

A 30-year-old man was arrested in Kashimira locality of Mira Road in Mumbai for allegedly raping the ten-year-old daughter of a woman with whom he was in a live-in relationship, reported the Free Press Journal .

Police sources were quoted as saying that the man had moved in with the victim’s mother a few months back. The mother left the daughter with her partner when she had to visit her native village.

The Times Of India reports that neighbours heard the girl screaming around 10:30 pm on Tuesday, and rushed to the house to find the girl in a bad condition.

Suspecting that she had been sexually assaulted, they thrashed the accused and handed him over to the police.

Meanwhile the girl has been sent for medical examination, as she told the police that the man had abused her after threatening her.
