Ahead Of Raksha Bandhan, Women Of Flood-Hit Sangli Tie Rakhi To NDRF Personnel To Thank Them

A few days ahead of Rakshabandhan, women in the flood-hit districts of Maharashtra have expressed their gratitude to the security personnel for helping them. 

Women and girls, including lady police officers were seen tying rakhis on the wrists of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel in Sangli’s Pakija Masjid area on Monday.

In the video clip shared on Twitter, women can be seen performing puja, and tying rakhis on the NDRF team and security personnel. It was their way of giving thanks to the men in uniform for their help with the rescue operations in the flood affected region.

Not just restricted to Sangli, women were tying rakhis on the wrist of Navy personnel in Kolhapur district as well.
