Heat wave across the country has reached alarming levels. But it’s not just humans and animals, even roads are bearing the brunt for it.
It is reported that roads in Silvassa, situated in the union territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli, melted on Saturday under the sweltering heat. This is making life even more miserable for the locals, who are facing trouble walking on it as their footwear is getting stuck to the roads.

However, some other reports said this happened not in Silvassa but in Valsad district of Gujarat, which is around 50 km north of Silvassa.
What is interesting here, is that the temperature in Silvassa isn’t high enough with the mercury hovering around 35 degrees Celsius. The roads are apparently melting because of the high levels of humidity in the region, reports Skymet Weather.
However, this is not the first time that this phenomenon is being witnessed. Last year, roads in New Delhi melted in the month of May, after the mercury constantly hovered around searing 45 degrees Celsius.
