Zee Network Bans Sonu Nigam After His Tweet ‘Exposes’ Incorrect Footage By The Channel

Zee Network has banned famous Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam after he tweeted a video in support of Aam Aadmi Party leader and friend Kumar Vishwas. The video challenged Zee News channel’s footage showing Vishwas making an “alleged” comment related to the farmer Gajendra Singh’s suicide in New Delhi.

On Tuesday, film trade analyst and host of ETC Bollywood Business, Komal Nahta tweeted that Zee Music Co. will not buy music with Sonu Nigam’s songs.

However, the ace singer confirmed the ban by Zee himself on Tuesday.

Hours after his tweet, scores of Sonu Nigam’s fans took Twitter by a storm with #IStandWithSonuNigam hashtag, throwing their support behind the singer.

Music director Vishal Dadlani also came in favour of Sonu Nigam calling the ban absolutely disgraceful.
