AAP MLA Somnath Bharti was arrested on Thursday for allegedly assaulting a member of the security staff at Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences earlier this month, reports ANI.
This comes after an FIR was registered against him and his supporters at Hauz Khas police station earlier this month.
The MLA, who represents the South Delhi’s Malviya Nagar constituency, was accused of thrashing security guards when he and his supporters were asked to leave the premises.
The MLA has been accused of misbehavior in the past as well.
Bharti was booked for allegedly “instigating men to misbehave with a woman” earlier this year and also made headlines for allegedly conducting an unauthorized rally in Tamil Nadu.
