A British Journalist Compared Brexit To India’s Independence Struggle & Twitter Just Lost It

India’s struggle for independence from a 200-year-old British empire is well recorded in the books of history, as are their cruel and vicious methods to suppress the revolution.

But, it seems like the British never learn. An English journalist named Quentin Letts recently compared the Brexit to India’s freedom struggle.

But followers of history on Twitter did not take very kindly to the comparison of a self-inflicted wound to the 200 years of slavery this country went through.

Maybe Mr. Letts could benefit from the NCERT history books we read as kids.
