Panama Papers: How Black Money Funds The War In Syria And Human Trafficking in Russia

#PanamaPapers is being termed the biggest document leak in history. While the existence of large amounts of black money being stored in tax havens abroad may not be surprising, it is shocking to know what this money is funding.

The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) has released a short documentary that points to something dark and shocking – that the black money of politicians, business tycoons, and film stars, is being used to fund global conflicts and human trafficking. It is costing people in developing countries their lives, simply because their governments are not getting the taxes they need to ensure that the citizens get basics such as healthcare.

If you were desensitised to corruption, we hope that this documentary makes you see its human cost.
