ULFA Kidnap Assam BJP Leader’s Son, Release Video Demanding Rs 1 Crore Ransom

A video footage has been released by suspected ULFA (I) militants in which a kidnapped youth is appealing to the authorities to secure his release.

The video shows Kuldeep Moran, son of Tinsukia Zila Parishad Vice President Ratnaswar Moran requesting his parents, the local BJP leader Bolin Cheita and Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal to help him get released. 

In the video, the youth informs that he had been abducted by the ULFA-I and was carried to different places blindfolded. He is shown to be wearing a green T-shirt and kneeling in the video. Five men wearing masks and carrying assault rifles have surrounded him. He also informs of his poor health and expressed his fear of death.

Kuldeep was kidnapped by the outfit on August 1 from Tinsukia district and his parents and the local legislator Bolin Cheita had received note demanding a ransom of Rs 1 crore for securing his release, reports UNI News.
