Three days after the note ban was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, hundreds of thousands of people stood outside banks trying to replace Rs 500 and 1,000 bank notes or get new currency notes.

But doing their bit to ease the struggles of some people, Punjab National Bank installed a mobile ATM van outside the AIIMS Hospital in New Delhi to help friends and families of patients exchange cash for emergency situations.

The move was appreciated by people on Twitter, with many users calling for more banks to follow suit.

As the country is trying to come to terms with a landmark decision by the Government, PNB’s attempt to help out the public is truly commendable.
