Captain Clarke Announces Retirement

Ashes performance can make careers but the series is known to end careers too. And the latest victim of this ruthless contest is Australia captain Michael Clarke.

After succumbing to England in the 4 th Test, gifting them the Urn in the process, the talisman leader announced his retirement from cricket.

The Oval Test will be his last as a player and as the leader of Australia. Pup has been ordinary in the series scoring runs at an average of 16. But 28 Test centuries proves the greatness of the man.
