A breathtaking hundred by Brendon McCullum backed by an MS Dhoni blitz and some pin-point bowling gave Chennai Super Kings a 45-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday, April 11.
The Kiwi skipper slammed a 56-ball 100* and Dhoni provided the late flair with a 29-ball 53 to take IPL’s most consistent team to a menacing 209/4.
David Warner (53) was impressive for the hosts but he didn’t get any support and Chennai bowlers capitalized on that fact to restrict Hyderabad to 164/4.
This result means that CSK have won both their matches this season while the Sunrisers are still to get off the mark.
