MS Dhoni, who’s more used to travelling on short trips in his Hummer (or a business class seat on an aircraft), chose to travel in a train from Hatia to Howrah with the rest of the Jharkhand squad for their Vijay Hazare match on 25 February.

In the last couple of seasons, Dhoni while playing for Jharkhand, never captained the side but has taken up the mantle this time round.

Travelling in the 1st class coach, he took a photo with his teammates and posted it on Instagram.

““I am travelling in a train after 13 years. It is a long route and I will enjoy it. I’ll talk to my team-mates and enjoy,” he was quoted as saying in an Indian Express report.

It will be a strong Jharkhand team that will be vying for the national championship.

Apart from Dhoni, they have the explosive Ishan Kishan and top domestic spinner Shahbaz Nadeem in their ranks. Ishank Jaggi and Varun Aaron, both of whom had landed IPL contracts, are also there in the team with the burly Saurabh Tiwary.
