Despite no news or hope of finding Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s name in the squad selected to face the West Indies, fans have openly criticized the selectors for ignoring the former Indian skipper.
The panel of selectors, led by MSK Prasad, drew flak from netizens who were upset to see Dhoni’s name missing from the T20 squad so close to the T20 World Cup.
The return of Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the only positive the fans were happy about.
But that still didn’t make up for Dhoni’s absence and fans made their feelings felt on the micro-blogging site as #bringbackdhoni was trending.
Considering fans would love to see Dhoni play in the World T20, this omission comes as a setback for a wave of Thala fans.
