Gautam Gambhir Commits To Fund Education Of Martyred J&K Cop’s Daughter

Indian cricketer, Gautam Gambhir, has always been vocal about his support for Indian security forces and personnel. On Tuesday, Gambhir announced that he will fund the education of Zohra, the daughter of the assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of J&K police Abdul Rasheed who was martyred in an attack by terrorists in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir.

The cricketer took to Twitter to express pain and share a heart-felt message message.

The hear-wrenching picture of Zohra have moved many. The Jammu and Kashmir Police had also put up an emotional message on the Facebook page of the DIG of South Kashmir. 

This is not the first time that Gambhir has come forward to help a ward of a security personnel. Gambhir had announced earlier that his foundation would pay for all the education expenses for children of 25 CRPF personnel martyred in the Sukma attack by Maoists in Chhattisgarh.
