It took some time coming but the Chris Gayle special has finally arrived. As the West Indian powerhouse killed Kings XI Punjab bowlers to give RCB a mammoth 138-run win.
The frightening left-hander smashed a 57-ball 117 and hit seven fours and as many as 12 sixes in his power-packed performance. Thanks to him, Bangalore posted 226/3.
KXIP batting has been their biggest letdown this season and they never looked in the mood to challenge RCB and meekly surrendered, getting bowled out in the 14 th over for just 88.
Gayle’s innings must have scared the living daylight out of all the other teams in the league. With him firing, RCB are a force to reckon with.
