While Cricket Fortunes Look Bleak, India Just Beat Pakistan 7-1 In Hockey

Adarsh Vinay

I must admit, I’m watching the cricket match too. India versus Pakistan in the Champions Trophy final. But I’ve also been switching channels. Because our hockey team were also in action, against Pakistan, in their Hockey World League semifinals group stages in London.

Final score: India 7 Pakistan 1

Harmanpreet Singh and Talwinder Singh scored two apiece for India while Akashdeep Singh and Pardeep Mor also got on the scoresheet.

Umar Bhutta pulled one back for Pakistan.

HT

India are unbeaten so far in their group, having beaten Scotland 4-1 in the opener, followed by a 3-0 victory against Canada. The victory over Pakistan makes it 3 wins in 3 games.

While our cricket fortunes look bleak, at least the hockey team has made us proud.
