In A Historic First, India To Host FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup In 2020

In great news for Indian football fans, the country has won the rights to host the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, which will be held next year. 

This also gives the country a direct place in the tournament, making it the first time the team will be participating in U-17 Women’s World Cup. 

The news was confirmed by FIFA with a tweet posted on Friday night.

According to sources, India had expressed interest in hosting the tournament after successfully pulling off the men’s version of the same competition in 2017. 

The winner of last edition, Spain will be trying to claim the title again as India will be aiming to leave a mark in their first appearance. 

This is a great news for Indian football fans and a great chance for our women to put India on the world map.
