India Vs England ODI Selection Meeting Delayed Because BCCI Is Clueless About Who Is In Power

SW Staff

In case you’re waiting for the Indian team to be announced for the upcoming ODI series against England, then you may have to wait a bit longer.

The meeting of the BCCI, which was supposed to meet today to choose the team, was delayed for ‘logistical reasons’. But an ESPN Cricinfo report says that the delay is because the board doesn’t quite know what procedure to follow, after the Supreme Court’s order forcing BCCI chief Anurag Thakur and secretary Ajay Shirke to step down.

The Supreme Court order to follow the Lodha panel’s guidelines also means that a lot of other BCCI office-bearers are now ineligible.

The meeting was scheduled for 12.30 PM, but had not commenced until 2 PM at least.
