Indian Cricket Fans Pick Yuvraj Singh And Leave Out Sourav Ganguly In BCCI’s Dream Test Team

So the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) asked fans to vote for their Dream Test XI. The poll also allowed you to choose a 12th man.

And guess what. Indian cricket fans chose Yuvraj Singh as their 12th man, overlooking Sourav Ganguly – who for many, has been one of the best captains.

Ganguly scored 7,212 runs in 113 Tests, with 16 hundreds and 35 fifties. He had an average of 42.17 and also picked up 32 wickets.

However, when the results of the poll came out, he was left out, even as 12th man – fans instead chose Yuvraj Singh, hero of India’s 2007 World T20 and 2011 World Cup wins.

And while he was a brilliant limited overs cricketer, Yuvraj scored only 1900 runs in the 40 Tests he played.

It’s a bit of a baffling choice, especially with the entire chosen team not having a single left-handed player.

On the flip-side, the fans have chosen quite the side:
