Team India Celebrates Independence Day, Hoists Flag In Sri Lanka After End Of Test Series

The Indian cricket team led by captain Virat Kohli hoisted the national flag on Tuesday in Kandy, Sri Lanka. The team took part in Independence Day celebrations after whitewashing the Sri Lankan cricket team in a three-match Test series.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) twitter account shared a video of India captain Virat Kohli walking up to hoist the flag along with coach Ravi Shastri. The entire gathering then stands in line to sing the national anthem.

The family of a few cricketers and support staff also joined in for the celebrations, News18 reported.
