Here’s The Identity Of The ‘Prayer Aunty’ Who ‘Helped’ Mumbai Indians Win IPL 10

The IPL 10 final on Sunday night was a very tense affair. The match was indeed the closest final in the history of the tournament and Mumbai Indians overcame Rising Pune Supergiant by JUST 1 RUN!

7 runs were needed off 4 balls and it looked like Pune’s game to lose when the camera panned to this ‘aunty’ who was lost in prayer.

Needless to say, her photo went viral immediately and Twittersphere was full of tweets and memes about ‘Prayer Aunty’.

Mumbai managed to snatch victory by a paltry run and everyone was immediately crediting Mitchell Johnson this aunty for the win…

And now, thanks to Abhishek Bachchan (of all people), the mystery aunt’s identity has been revealed.

So that’s that. The adorable aunty who helped Mumbai Indians to their third IPL title is Purnima Dalal, Nita Ambani’s mother.
