Kolkata Knight Riders played a perfect match to destroy Sunrisers Hyderabad by 35 runs to storm into the top 4 with 11 points from five matches.
Most of the KKR batsmen contributed to the score and handled the Sunrisers’ pace battery pretty well to post a decent 167/7 on a slow Eden Gardens pitch.
Gautam Gambhir’s policy of fielding three spinners paid-off as Brad Hogg (2/17), backed by Piyush Chawla and Johan Botha never allowed SRH batsmen to get away.
KKR seemed to have find a way to fill the void created by the ban on Sunil Narine and they are getting back to their best with each passing game.
