Kings XI Punjab registered their first win in the ongoing IPL season 8 as they downed the lacklustre Mumbai Indians by 18 runs on Sunday, April 12.
Virender Sehwag got KXIP off to a flier with a 19-ball 35 and a late assault by skipper George Bailey (61* off 32) took them to 177/4 despite Harbhajan Singh’s 2/20.
Mumbai lost the plot very early in their innings and were down to 56/6. But a superb counterattack by Harbhajan (64 off 24) reduced their misery but couldn’t avoid their second consecutive loss of this season.
