Lionel Messi married his childhood sweetheart, Antonela Roccuzzo, in his hometown of Argentina and it was star studded affair of footballers, celebrities and a throng of police officials deployed at the venue. The guest list went up to 260 people and it’s coming to be called the wedding of the century.
Lionel Messi, the Argentina and Barcelona forward, met Roccuzzo as a child before he moved to Spain aged just 13. The wedding was a lavish affair held at The City Center hotel and casino in Rosario. According to BBC, among the guests at Friday’s wedding were Messi’s Barcelona teammates Luis Suárez, Neymar, Gerard Piqué and his wife, Colombia’s pop star Shakira. A number of guests flew into Rosario on private jets.
