Cricketers getting trolled on Twitter by religious fanatics for absurd things have become a trend on social media. Last week, Mohammad Kaif was attacked after he put up a picture of playing chess with his son. A few days back, all-rounder Irfan Pathan had to face the heat for posting a picture of his wife.

Now, England cricketer Moeen Ali has become the latest target of the fanatics and that also for drawing a picture. Ali recently tweeted a picture of him drawing a portrait of Sir Vivian Richards, which was to be auctioned by Cricket United, a cricket charity awareness campaign that raises money for the Professional Cricketers’ Association.

The all-rounder was criticised on the platform for going against Islam.

Ali also received support on Twitter from his fans.

The English cricketer recently made headlines for leading his side to a 239-run win over South Africa. He also took a hat-trick in the match.
