Man of the Match Wahab Riaz scored an unbeaten 54 before picking up 4 wickets as Pakistan beat Zimbabwe by 20 runs in their World Cup Pool B encounter at Brisbane.

Electing to bat, Pakistan were struggling when skipper Misbah-ul-Haq steadied the innings with a gritty 73. He got able support from Wahab and it was the pair who took Pakistan to 235/7.

In response, Zimbabwe eyed their chances but Wahab (4/45) and Mohammed Irfan (4/30) ensured that Pakistan were always in the front seat. Brendan Taylor’s 50 went in vain as the Africans were wrapped up for 210/10.

Despite the result, Zimbabwe stay in 5th spot in Pool B above Pakistan who are 6th despite having the same number of points.
